Located in the center of downtown, the Paramount Arts Centre schedules a year-round line-up of exceptional and culturally diverse theatrical and musical events. Restored in the late 1970s, this revitalized 1931 movie theater provides a beautiful setting for renowned entertainers, traveling theater companies, Broadway musicals, children’s productions, dance troupes, and symphonic orchestras, including the locally based Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra. On Water Street in downtown Aurora, theatergoers enjoy original plays, murder mysteries, comedies and late night farces produced and acted by members of a local theater group based at The Riverfront Playhouse.
